Building on the success of our inaugural AI in Higher Ed event, the second part of our AI in Higher Ed virtual Meetup took a deeper dive into the ethical, social, and strategic dimensions of artificial intelligence in academia. This installment focused, among other topics, on fostering dialogue around responsible AI integration and the evolving collaboration between educators, administrators, researchers, and students.
On January 15th 2025, the Higher Ed Technology Professionals Meetup group gathered for the third part of our virtual Meetup series on IT efficiency in higher education. We were joined by James Stoffel, CIO at Showa Women’s Institute; Ben Gaucherin, Campus Services Director at Harvard University; Emily Laird, AI Integration Technologist at the University of Wisconsin-Stout; and Miro Humer, VP and CIO at Case Western Reserve University.
